Heat emissions into the atmosphere are a key contributor to global warming and climate change. Global warming and the climate changes it produces are the result of heat trapped by greenhouse gases (CO2 emissions).

It is not sufficient (although essential) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Even the current levels of gases in the air, not taking into account any future additions, will ensure many more decades of rising temperatures unless the thermal pollution itself is also rapidly reduced.

Many human activities are heat producing, from industrial processes to household activities and urban lifestyles in general including all forms of transportation, and of course any use of energy irrespective of its source which deposits waste heat in the environment. All of this waste heat emitted into the atmosphere will contribute to global warming.

Urban-Climate & Energy Inc. was set up as an environmental social-venture start-up to raise awareness about the role of heat pollution in climate change and to research and develop new technology to capture such heat emissions before they are released into the atmosphere.

Our Aim: to research and develop new technology to capture such heat emissions before they are released into the atmosphere.
